Focus My disciplinary research interests in the past centered on understanding the subjective experience of individual motor learning and performance through the perspective and method of narrative. Recent work associated with my position as Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning is more broad based, focusing on a model of instructional delivery associated with six principles of “sticky” messages as delineated by Heath and Heath (2008). In addition, much work has been aimed at the role of active learning classrooms for advancing instructional reform at institutions of higher education. B.
