Terms and Conditions
1. Headwaters Livestock and employees act as agents only on all sales, and are not
responsible for buyer/seller error or misunderstanding.
2. Consignment forms MUST be accompanied by the consignment fee of $125.00
original registration papers, signed transfer, & breeders certificates (if applicable).
The consignment/catalog deadline is February 8th at 5:00 PM .Mares selling with
foals at side must have a signed breeder’s certificate for the foal. Mares selling in
foal must have a signed breeder’s certificate.
3. Individual NEGATIVE COGGINS TEST (original, not copy) current within 6
months and a Health Certificate within 72 hours of arrival at our establishment
must be turned into the sales office when consignments arrive. No horses may
unload on site until all Coggins tests and health certificates have been checked.
Foals must have a separate Coggins and Health. Stallions 13 Months or older
must have a negative EVA test. All paperwork must be turned into office prior to
sale.
4. Horses with any unsoundness or bad habits (Example: Cribbers, Parrot Mouth,
Lameness or Unsoundness, etc.) are not eligible for entry in the sale. If there is
any question Headwaters veterinarians will make the final judgment.
5. Consignors’ checks will be mailed after 5 business days from the date of the sale.
6. Consignment/Catalog fee will be $125.00 and commission is 7% of the selling
price or $50.00, whatever amount is greater... No Sales or Pass Outs must be
stated before the horse leaves the ring. Pass out fee is $50.00 of the final bid
whichever is greater. In compliance with our insurance fee (.07 percent of
$100.00 in gross sales) will be assessed as well as a $3.00 vet inspection fee. NO
Paper work will be given back until all NO SALE FEES and CATALOG FEES
are paid. NO EXCEPTIONS!
7. The consignment fee is non-refundable. Consignor agrees not to withdraw entry
except for injury, sickness, or death. Consignor must provide the sales company
with a statement from licensed vet prior from the date of sale to withdraw.
Consignors withdrawing a horse for any reason other than those listed above will
be assessed a $200.00 penalty to cover advertising and sales expenses. No alley
trading will be allowed.
