Purpose of Post





To support the Corporate Partnerships Managers to maintain and build
on the success of existing partnerships within the Partnerships
Development Team
To work with the Corporate Relations Managers to grow income through existing accounts
To support the Corporate Relations Managers in supporting fundraising initiatives with
corporate partners
To maximise the fundraising potential of existing partnerships
through taking responsibility for specific projects, as assigned by
account managers
To provide account management to UNICEF UK’s participation in multi-country partnerships
originating outside of the UK
Background
UNICEF's Fundraising team is responsible for raising funding (from nonstatutory sources) to finance UNICEF's long-term development and
emergency relief work with children. Fundraising comprises of five
teams, Corporate Fundraising, Direct Marketing, Major Supporters and
Trusts, Fundraising Initiatives and Trading. The five teams report into
the Deputy Executive Director, Fundraising.

The Corporate Fundraising team aims to increase support from the
commercial sector, and has been very successful with significant longterm partnerships with Manchester United, Proctor and Gamble, Barclays,
Starwood Hotels, FTSE, and Everything Everywhere amongst others .
There are 22 people currently in the Corporate Fundraising team,
including dedicated Account Managers, New Business Development Managers
and support positions. The team has recently expanded and future growth
will be driven by increasing the number of long-term partnerships
between the corporate sector and UNICEF, plus maximising existing
partnerships.
Section 4
Duties and Responsibilities
This role sits within the Partnership Development Team and provides support across a portfolio
of accounts (currently 15)

To help grow corporate partnerships to achieve agreed income targets,

To support the Corporate Relations Managers in identifying new opportunities within
partnerships and supporting on fundraising initiatives

To keep up to date on trends within the commercial and Third sector

To liaise with fundraising departments in other UNICEF offices globally to assist in coordinating partnerships and fundraising initiatives.

To liaise with other internal departments, for example media, high profile supporters, internal
design and external suppliers to support both the delivery of current partnerships

To lead on adhoc projects for the Corporate Fundraising team

To support on appropriate response and communication to corporate prospects in the event
of humanitarian emergencies

To provide corporate advice and support to other departments within UNICEF UK and work
on cross departmental projects as required

To provide account management to UNICEF UK’s participation in multi-country partnerships
originating outside of the UK

To work within UNICEF’s International Corporate screening policy and processes for
Corporate alliances

To work with UNICEF international field offices to organise field trips overseas for corporate
partners, where appropriate

To maintain appropriate contact records
Other Duties

To travel nationally and internationally as appropriate

To represent UNICEF to external audiences
