Geometry Chapter 1 Goals: 1.1 Know precise definitions of angle, segment, point, line, distance along a line. (GCO.1) 1.2 Make formal geometric constructions with a variety of tools and methods (GCO.12) (Use compass, straightedge, paper folding, geometric software to make specific geometric shapes) 1.3 Find the point on a directed line segment between two given points that partitions (divides or separates) the segment in a given ratio (G-GPE.6) (Use midpoint and distance formulas to find specific points on a line.) 1.4 Use coordinates to compute perimeters of shapes using the distance formula. (GGPE.7) (Use the distance formula to determine the shapes of objects on a coordinate plane.) 1.5 Identify and explain the difference between different angle pairs, and use their relationships to solve for measures of the angles and values of x.
