Clarence Felder
As “Captain Henry Felder”, executive producer
After receiving an unexpected e-mail from Mississippi asking if he was related to a
Felder of Orangeburg, South Carolina, Clarence did some research and found this to be
true. In fact, he was the ninth generation, direct descendent of All for Liberty’s main
character, Henry Felder. Captivated by his relative’s story, Felder wrote the play,
Captain Felder’s Cannons, followed by the film script, All for Liberty, with wife Chris
Weatherhead.
Clarence Felder’s long and distinguished career spans decades as a leading actor in films, television and Broadway. His
numerous appearances include a two year run on ABC’s hit series Hooperman and films such as The Last Boy Scout, Ruthless
People, After Hours, and many others. Felder co-starred in ten productions on Broadway, performing with such stars as Glenn
Close and Meryl Streep. His regional theatre appearances include over 130 productions, including leading roles in most of
Shakespeare’s plays. A prolific writer, Felder co-founded the Actors Theatre of South Carolina.
Chris Weatherhead
As “Catherine Felder”, co-writer, director
Chris Weatherhead has been a leading actress on film, television and in theater
companies in New York City, Hollywood and across the country for 30 years, ranging
from feature films (Touched, Whatever It Takes, Eye of the Storm, The Tonya Harding
Story) to series television (Dallas, Equal Justice, Moonlighting, Night Court, Baby Boom,
Equal Justice, and others); to daytime television (Edge of Night, Days of Our Lives,
Young & The Restless, Search for Tomorrow, and others); and live theatre (Table
Settings), as well as leading regional theatres, including the NY Shakespeare Festival.
Weatherhead is producing director and co-founder of both Moving Images Group and its companion organization, the award
winning Actors Theatre of South Carolina and has starred in numerous productions throughout South Carolina and in five other
states. She is also a screenwriter, playwright and novelist.
Michael Easler
As “Governor Rutledge”
A veteran actor of over 70 professional theatre productions, Easler has appeared in
numerous roles for the Actors’ Theatre of South Carolina. He recently completed
shooting the role of Dr. Walsh in Cold Soldiers and has been featured in several films,
including Chattahoochie with Dennis Hopper and Gary Oldman, as well as on television
series and documentaries. Easler spent several years in residence at Greenville Café
And Then Some Comedy Theatre as an actor, writer and musician. He has starred in
notable plays such as Breaker Morant, the Little Foxes, and Cabaret.
David Reed
As “Bill Jenkins”
Reed, who created the role of Bloody Bill in All for Liberty, has appeared in numerous
television commercials and been in the field of radio for 25 years. He performs
regularly for South Carolina Educational Radio for the Blind and has appeared in
several theatre productions, including 2:Goering at Nuremburg, which was performed
at Piccolo Spoleto International Theatre Festival. He has been a leading actor
throughout the state of South Carolina for 15 years in modern and classical theatre,
including A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Crucible.
Trevor Erickson
As “Henry Felder, jr.”
Erickson is a former marine who created the role of Henry Felder, Jr. for All for Liberty.
He is the founder of Clandestine Films, a production company based in Charleston,
South Carolina. Recently, Erickson served as the co-producer, editor, lead actor, and
stunt coordinator for the indie feature, Cold Soldiers. He also starred in the theatre
productions South, in Savannah, and Breaker Mont. Erickson directed the short film,
Snap Judgment, which was Third Place Winner at the Folly Felder Film Festival in 2004.
Trevor has an extensive background in martial arts and has served as fight
choreographer for various films.
Rob Gorman
As “John Felder”
Gorman was nominated four times by the Young Artist Foundation in Hollywood for his
work as a young actor in numerous films, television movies and prime time series
during the 1980's and 90’s, including a regular roles on Falcon Crest and Joe’s Life. His
many other credits for guest star include Forever Young, Full House, and Quantum Leap,
among others. Gorman’s recent film work includes the George Clooney film,
Leatherheads, and television guest starring roles on Surface and One Tree Hill. He is also
co-owner of Creative Forge Production Company in Charleston, South Carolina.
Charles Venning
As “Edward Green”
Charles Venning hails from Charleston, South Carolina and has been a professional
actor for ten years. He recently played the lead in The Thomas Lawrence Story, a docudrama for Almes Productions. His many leading roles touring for Actors’ Theatre of
South Carolina include six characters in the Piccolo International Theatre Festival hit
production, Whispers & Dreams. He also has played leads in several plays including
Driving Miss Daisy for companies throughout the state. Venning is a Veteran, serving in
the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War.
Curtis Worthington
As “Captain Wymuss”
Worthington has a recurring role as the Trauma Doctor on Lifetimes’ series Army Wives.
He played the role of Professor Adkins in Mehdi Norowzian’s film Leo, starring Joseph
Fiennes. He has also done principal roles in numerous industrial films and commercials.
On the stage, Worthington has starred in numerous Shakespearean and modern plays
and performed with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. As an author, he compiled
and edited, Literary Charleston, A Lowcountry Reader, an anthology of writing about
Charleston, South Carolina.
Boo Sheppard
As “Alice Golightly”
Boo Sheppard is an actress, writer and director. For nineteen years she produced and
hosted Time Warner’s cable television show Orangeburg Inside/Out. As an actress in
theatres across the state of South Carolina, she starred in several plays, including Hello
Dolly. At the Piccolo Spoleto International Theatre Festival, Sheppard co-wrote and
starred in Isn't It Lovely?, and co-starred in Southern Men as well as Lowcountry
Delights. Boo has produced and directed numerous musical theater productions and
received South Carolina Governor’s Order of the Palmetto Award and the Distinguished
Service Award from South Carolina State University.
Jim Sawgrass
As “Sawgrass “
Jim Sawgrass is a native Floridian and Muskogee descendant, but portrays a Catawba
scout for the American patriots in All for Liberty, as he has vast knowledge about
various Southeastern tribes of the United States. He has shared his skills and knowledge
across the southeast for the past two decades to assemblies of all ages, performing at
re-enactments, schools, churches, and libraries with his group, Deep Forest Historical
Native American Program.
Lisa Morelli
As “Molly”
Lisa Morelli has been a professional actress for 10 years. She starred in the indie
short, Angel Eyes, and was featured in the film Rich In Love as well as on the
daytime series’ General Hospital and Days of Our Lives. A veteran of numerous
commercials, music videos and voiceovers, she is a dialogue coach for youth in
the entertainment community and created the first Family Film Fest in
Charleston as part of the annual Felder Film Festival in the Piccolo International
Festival. As a country singer, she was featured on the Charlie Daniels Show for
TNN and toured as a leading actress in many productions for Actors’ Theatre of South Carolina.
