Algebra 1 Final Project – Stained Glass Window Create a “stained glass window” using the math you have learned this year in our Algebra 1 study of functions. The stained glass window must be drawn on four pieces of graph paper taped together, the origin (0, 0) at the point of intersection of all four sheets and colored using the requirements below. Your window must be created using at least the following, you may do more if your creative vision requires. Requirements: - - - 10 linear functions: o 3 positive sloped lines o 3 negative sloped lines o 2 horizontal lines o 2 vertical lines 2 Quadratic functions: o A quadratic function with a maximum value o A quadratic function with a minimum value At least two other function types that we have studied: o Absolute value o Exponential o Reciprocal/inverse variation o Square root The equations for the 14 required functions must be written on an attached sheet of paper, identifying the domain and range of each function as it appears in your window. On the additional sheet, the following must also be completed: - Identify a system of linear equations and solve it using both substitution and elimination - Identify a set of parallel lines - Identify a set of perpendicular lines - Identify two enclosed shaded regions and write the system of inequalities that creates each region - Write the equation of one of the quadratic functions in all three forms.
