Kidz Conference Services has designed the
following workshops in an effort to
disseminate accurate, practical and useful
information for effective educational services
to children with autism spectrum disorders.
These workshops are designed to assist
educators in developing more effective
educational programs for individuals affected
by autism.

BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
All presenters are on the staff of Kidz Therapy
Services/Gayle E. Kligman Therapeutic
Resources (GEK)
Lenny Caltabiano, Psy.D., NCSP is a NYS
Licensed Psychologist, a NYS and Nationally
Certified School Psychologist and currently is the
Director of the Autism Behavioral Services
Department at Kidz. He specializes in the areas of
Autism Spectrum Disorders and the assessment of
cognitive abilities. He has presented at the national
and local levels on these topics for school district
administrators, teachers, psychologists and paraeducators. He provides consultation and parent
training services for children birth trough 21.
Additionally he holds an adjunct teaching position
at Dowling College, teaching a course on Applied
Behavior Analysis and severe disabilities. He has
worked as a School Psychologist for a Nassau
County school district helping to develop and
operate an elementary and middle school program
for students with autism and related disorders and
has worked at a specialized school and residential
program for children with such needs and
conditions.
Daniel Gatto, M.A., M.S.Ed., B.C.B.A has been
working with children with Autism Spectrum
Disorders (ASD) since 2006. He received a
graduate degree in psychology from Queens
College, as well as a graduate degree in Special
Education from Touro College. Daniel has been
working as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
(BCBA) since 2010 and has experience working
with children from ages 2-21 He previously worked
as a special education teacher at QSAC. He
currently works as a behavior consultant/ special
educator providing behavior analytic services as a
team leader, SEIT provider, Parent Trainer, and
school district consultant.
Ellen Thalhamer III, M.S.Ed., B.C.S.E., B.C.B.A.
studied at Saint Joseph’s College, Long Island
University,
and
Florida
Institute
of
Technology. She is certified in Special Education
and General Education, Birth through Sixth
Grade. She is currently a Behavior Consultant and
Home Therapist. In addition, she founded a nonprofit organization for children with autism -Team
Heroes Inc.
Jaime Gettinger-Webber, M.S.SPED, BCBA has
a BS in Childhood Education and an MS in
student’s with Disabilities. She gained experience
working with children with various disabilities by
working as a teaching assistant and classroom
teacher. She provides direct care and behavioral
consultation services utilizing the principles of
Applied Behavior Analysis. Her primary interest
include autism and behavioral assessments and
analyses in the home a nd school settings.
Mary Lou Bastiao, M.S.SPED, has been working
with children with disabilities since 1991 when her
career began as a paraprofessional in a BOCES
setting. She has a Bachelors degree in social work
and a Masters in Children with Disabilities. She has
conducted numerous staff trainings on supporting
children with autism. She currently provides school
district consultation, parent training, and leads Early
Intervention teams for children with ASD.
Workshop Details – There will be one (1) fifteen
(15) minute break each in the am and pm session
and a one (1) hour lunch break on your own.
There will be one (1) fifteen (15) minute break
during the half day parent training workshop.
NO FOOD/BEVERAGES WILL BE SERVED
DURING THE CONFERENCES.
You may bring in drinks/snacks/lunch.
Convenient lunch sites are located near the
conference site.
Certificates of Attendance will be issued at the
end of each workshop.
Refund Policy: A handling fee of $25 will be
deducted for all cancellations. Refund requests
must be received by mail/e-mail at least 14 days
prior to the conference date. No refunds will be
issued within 14 days of the conference.
