Workshop Series on Teaching Procedures for Verbal Students Four (4) workshops in this series Each workshop is from 8:30 am to 11:30 am Registration starts at 8:00 am (3 CPDU hours) The opportunity: This series focuses on students with Autism Spectrum Disorder who are verbal. This includes students with Asperger’s or high functioning autism. Each meeting will have specific objectives to be discussed: September 26: Pairing (to be covered each meeting), manding, Classroom management November 14: Prompting, fading, error correction, Multiple Exemplar Instruction and data collection January 9: Collaboration, token economies, follow-through on behavior interventions and data collection March 6: Social Skills, intraverbals, tacts Each workshop will include opportunities for both practice and discussion. Target Audience: This workshop is for intermediate to advance learners of Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior. She has experience with a wide range of learners. She has trained therapists and parents, taught preschool, elementary, and middle school students, as well as adults in an online learning environment. Ms. Conley is the Educational Services BCBA at Autism Home Support Services where she consults with school districts and supervises in-home programs for children with Autism. Marrea Winnega, PhD, BCBA, heads AHSS’s School Consulting Practice. She earned her PhD in Psychology from UIC where she also serves as Assistant Professor. Dr. Winnega is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with more than 20 years of experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Kerri Flynn, MA, BCBA is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology. She has over 14 years’ experience working with the children with a wide range of disabilities but mostly with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
