Planning Your Wedding
Organising your wedding should be an enjoyable experience. We at Bezani Catering pride
ourselves on our quality and service and will provide you with all the help and advice you need
to make your special day one to remember.
Bezani Catering has been established since 1992 and is the Outside Catering department
of The Anglesey Hotel, which itself has a civil ceremony license and is ideally suited for
weddings with numbers up to 50 guests. Opposite to the hotel are the Crescent Gardens, with
its beautiful setting that provides the perfect location for wedding photographs and champagne
reception.
In addition to the facilities at The Anglesey Hotel, we have use of other venues in and
around Gosport.
Explosion Museum (Grand Magazine)
Explosion is situated in Priddy’s Hard and can hold up to 200 guests. They have a unique
ceremony and reception room with oak floors and bright red exposed bricks. It was once used
to store all the ammunition in the 1st and 2nd World Wars. Just outside the Café area is the
camber which overlooks the historical Portsmouth Harbour, a perfect backdrop for wedding
photographs. At high tide rather than arriving by traditional horse & carriage or by car you can
make a grand entrance by boat.
John Fieldhouse Building (Submarine Museum)
This building was completed in November 2005 and is situated at the Submarine Museum
in Gosport. This magnificent building has been purposely build to hold functions and has
fantastic views onto Portsmouth Harbour and the Spinnaker Tower.
Bursledon Brickworks Museum
Founded in 1897. The building itself is a grade 2 listed building with a large courtyard and
areas inside that are ideal for your wedding photos. This venue is perfect for hog roasts and
barbecues
Boundary Oak School
The main building dates back to 1280 and sits in 22 acres of beautifully tended grounds and is
approached through an arched mock Tudor gatehouse at the bottom of the drive. The
tranquility of the estate and beauty of the surrounding countryside is breathtaking. Steeped in
history, Boundary Oak offers a truly unforgettable venue for your wedding or special event.
Masonic Halls
A very spacious hall within easy reach from anywhere in Gosport. The hall is large enough
for 150 and has a very large dance floor for the evening entertainment.
Hill Place
A Georgian villa, which is perfect for your exclusive wedding. Set within 20 acres of well
tended land with views of the Isle of Wight it is surrounded by orchards and makes this a must
see venue. It is perfect for a large marquee or a small intimate wedding in one of their
reception rooms.
Royal Marines Museum
The impressive building affords a wide range of function rooms. The magnificent and
spacious Mountbatten Room is the obvious choice for a large celebration, whilst the refined
elegance of the Minstrels Gallery or Beverley Gallery is ideal for more intimate gatherings.
We also cater at Southsea Castle, Museum of the Royal Navy, Square Tower, Corhampton
lane farm, Fort Purbrook, Upham Village Hall, Action Stations, HEDCA, Stokes Bay Sailing
Club, Alverstoke Parish Centre, RAFA Club, plus many more.
Our full service as described in this brochure is available at any of these locations or as an
outside catering service at a location of your choice.
Thorngate Halls
The newly refurbished ballroom offers superb licensed bars and is the ideal venue for
formal dinners, weddings or parties. Accomodating 250 in a formal setting. Numbers
increasing to 300 for an informal dance the well equipped capacious stage can accommodate
the largest of dance bands or disco leaving you plenty of space to party.

Bezani Catering have been catering in numerous venues for 20 years now and have built up an
amazing reputation for great tasting food, imaginative ideas and excellent service. Where ever available
we will use fresh, seasonal, British produce direct from the farmers and growers so we can ensure we
know exactly where the food has come from and it has been ethically produced. We set ourselves high
standards which are maintained by talented chefs and conscientious, happy staff which are all trained in
house to make sure your function runs smoothly

What’s included in the price of the food??
Our sit down menu options are inclusive of 3 courses with tea and coffee based on 1 starter, 1 main
and 1 dessert with a vegetarian option
Can we have canapés instead of a starter??
Yes, not a problem. Our canapé menu is perfect for bites to eat whilst having photos or mingling with
your guests
Can we choose an alternative menu from what is listed??
Of course you can and we will work with you to achieve this
Can we offer our guests a choice??
You can offer your guests a choice of dishes per course, although we do charge a supplement of
£2.00 per head to cover additional equipment and staff needed to serve it. We also ask that you list the
guests choices by table so we can eliminate any changes of heart or lapses of memory
Can we have a tasting of our chosen menu??
Yes, once you have paid your deposit you are quite welcome to come in for a taste tester
How much deposit do I need to pay??
The deposit is £150.00 paid by debit card, bacs, cheque or cash
When is the final balance due??
I am quite easy to work with. I will need your final numbers 7 days before your wedding. I will then
send out a final invoice and you have 1 week before or 1 week after to pay
Have you a bridal suite for us to stay in on our wedding night??
The Anglesey Hotel has a lovely Bridal Suite available to wedding couples. (Room 308) We will
make sure there is a card and a box of chocolates in there for you.
Accommodation
The Rates for an overnight stay with an extensive breakfast menu available in the morning at the
Anglesey Hotel are as follows. All rooms are en-suite and have tea/coffee making facilities, free view
television and free WIFI.

FUNCTION BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Provisional bookings will be held for fourteen days after which, a written confirmation and
deposit of £150 will be required.

Menus and Beverages are to be selected no more than four weeks prior to the function.

Final numbers are required 7 days prior to function.
4,
Full payment is required NO later than seven days after your function.
6,
In the event of a cancellation any payments made will not be refunded.
7,
Any extra cost incurred must be settled with seven days.

All prices are inclusive of VAT

All prices are based on a 3 course meal with coffee. Two courses may vary the cost of each
course.
