WARM-UP SCHEDULE The following warm-up schedule will be followed. Marshals will supervise and enforce this schedule for the safety of all swimmers. The announcer will announce the change from General warm-up to Specific warm-up as a reminder. Accept for racing starts, all swimmers must enter the pool feet first, with at least one hand in contact with the pool deck. I. GENERAL WARM-UP PERIOD. A. The first 30 minutes of the designated warm-up time. B. NO racing starts from the blocks or the edge of the pool in any lane. C. No sprinting or pace work. II. SPECIFIC WARM-UP PERIOD. A. The last 30 minutes of the designated warm-up time. B. Lanes 1 and 6 – Push off 1 and 2 lengths and back, beginning at the starting end of the pool. Circle swimming ONLY. NO RACING STARTS. C. Lanes 2 and 5 – Racing starts only. Swim one length only. Swimmer MUST get out at the other end and walk around to the starting block. All swimmers begin at the starting end of the pool D. Lanes 3 and 4 – Swimming and pulling ONLY. NO RACING STARTS. E. If a backstroker is doing a start I land 2 or 5, no one is allowed on the block until the backstroker has cleared the starting area. ********** NO EQUIPMENT IS TO BE USED ********** ***** ENTER THE WATER FEET FIRST WITH ONE HAND ON THE DECK WHEN ENTERING THE POOL AT ALL TIMES DURING THE WARM-UP INCLUDING WHEN SWIMMERS ARE NOT DOING A RACING START.
