‘In granting this approval it is understood and agreed that USA
Swimming and Florida swimming shall be free and held harmless
from any liabilities or claims from damages arising by reason of
injuries to anyone during the conduct of the event”
CONDITION OF SANCTION: Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a
USA Swimming member coach must be certified by a USA
Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a
racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the
responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to
ensure compliance with this requirement. The competition course
has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). The copy of
such certification is on file with USA Swimming.

TYPE OF MEET: 25 yard, timed final, open to the first 350 USA registered swimmers.
DATES AND TIMES: Friday, October 14, 2011 – 5:00pm
Saturday, October 15, 2011 – 9:00am

Sunday, October 16, 2011 – 9:00am
PM session not before Noon
LOCATION: Newton A. Perry Aquatic Center, located on the C of CF Ocala campus
State Road 200, one mile east of I-75
POOL SPECIFACATIONS: Certified, 6 lane, 25 yard outdoor heated pool, 4 ft. depth
Water depth at competition end is a minimum of 4 feet
TIMING EQUIPMENT: Colorado Automatic timing, using backup timers
WARM-UP: Friday night – 3:30pm
Each Morning – 7:30am
Afternoon – Not before Noon – 30 minutes guaranteed
ELIGIBILITY: OPEN TO THE FIRST 350 SWIMMERS. WE WILL CUT THE
ENTRIES WITH THE FIRST TEAM THAT PUTS US OVER 350.
SEEDING: 25 yard times will be used for seeding purposes.
Conversion may be made using 2010 Florida Swimming Handbook
SCRATCHES: May be made on the block without penalty
ENTRY LIMITS: Swimmers may enter three (3) events per day
ENTRY FORM: Entries must be in USA Swimming SDIF format or Hy-Tek CL2.
Sent by email using Hy-Tek team manager. Corrupted, unreadable or
incorrectly formatted files must be corrected within 24 hours. Errors in
entries submitted electronically are the responsibility of the applicant.
Email confirmation will be sent upon receipt of the file.
ENTRY FEES: $ 3.00 per individual event
$ 7.50 per individual - facility fee
$ 50.00 additional fee if team does not enter the meet using the Hy-Tek format

RULES: Current USA Swimming rules will govern the meet.
Safety rules, as outlined by USA Swimming and as recommended by the Head
Marshall, will be in effect during all warm-ups and in all warm-up area’s.
No recall starts will be used as outlined in 102.14.4H
Fly-over starts will be used at the discretion of the Head Referee

conspicuous location while on the deck.

WARM-UP SCHEDULE
The following warm-up schedule will be followed. Marshals will supervise and enforce
this schedule for the safety of all swimmers. The announcer will announce the change
from General warm-up to Specific warm-up as a reminder. Accept for racing starts, all
swimmers must enter the pool feet first, with at least one hand in contact with the pool
deck.
I.
GENERAL WARM-UP PERIOD.
A. The first 30 minutes of the designated warm-up time.
B. NO racing starts from the blocks or the edge of the pool in any lane.
C. No sprinting or pace work.
II.
SPECIFIC WARM-UP PERIOD.
A. The last 30 minutes of the designated warm-up time.
B. Lanes 1 and 6 – Push off 1 and 2 lengths and back, beginning at the
starting end of the pool. Circle swimming ONLY. NO RACING
STARTS.
C. Lanes 2 and 5 – Racing starts only. Swim one length only. Swimmer
MUST get out at the other end and walk around to the starting block. All
swimmers begin at the starting end of the pool
D. Lanes 3 and 4 – Swimming and pulling ONLY. NO RACING STARTS.
E. If a backstroker is doing a start I land 2 or 5, no one is allowed on the
block until the backstroker has cleared the starting area.

***** ENTER THE WATER FEET FIRST WITH ONE HAND ON
THE DECK WHEN ENTERING THE POOL AT ALL TIMES
DURING THE WARM-UP INCLUDING WHEN SWIMMERS
