When figures are congruent it means they are
exactly the same…
However, figures can also be SIMILAR
Figures are similar when:
1) Both figures are the same shape (not same
size)
2) Corresponding angles are the same (matching
corners)
3) Ratios of the lengths of corresponding sides
are equal
(are the sides divisible by the same thing?)
