DECISION
ON ESTABLISHMENT OF EASTERN INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY
THE PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Governmental Organization Law dated December 25, 2001;
Pursuant to the Education Law dated June 14, 2005 and the Law amending and supplementing
some Articles of the Education Law dated November 25, 2009;
Pursuant to the Decision No.121/2007/QD-TTg dated July 27, 2007 of the Prime Minister
approving the planning of the network of universities, colleges between the phase of 2006 2020;
Pursuant to the Decision No.07/2009/QD-TTg dated January 15, 2009 of the Prime Minister on
the conditions and procedures for the establishment, operation suspension, merger, division,
separation, dissolution of the universities;
At the proposal of the Minister of Education and Training at the Statement No.491/TTr-BGDDT
dated August 17, 2010 on the establishment of the Eastern International University,
DECIDES:
Article 1. To establish Eastern International University whose investor is Becamex IDC Corp in
Binh Duong Province.
Headquarters: New urban area of the industrial services and urban complex in Binh Duong, Thu
Dau Mot town, Binh Duong Province.
Article 2. The Eastern International University is the basis of private university education with
legal status entity, seal, and separate accounts.
Article 3. The Eastern International University operates under the Regulation on organization
and operation of private universities issued together with the Decision No.61/2009/QD-TTg
dated April 17, 2009 by the Prime Minister and the Decision No.07/2009/QD-TTg dated January
15, 2009 of the Prime Minister on the conditions and procedures for the establishment, operation
suspension, merger, division, separation, dissolution of the universities.
Article 4. This Decision takes effect from the date of signing.
Article 5. The ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, heads of Governmental agencies,
Presidents of People’s Committees of provinces and cities directly under the Central
Government, the Management Board and General Director of Becamex IDC Corp shall
implement this Decision./.
