DISTRICT – Title I
 Schools in Improvement/AYP Letters: Public School Choice and
SES letter must be sent for approval to OSPI before mailing out
to parents
Deadlines:
 July 1 - Title I, Part A Substantially Approvable Status (SAS)
application, iGrants Form Package (FP) 201–Pages 1–2. (Enables
district to charge expenses back to date SAS submitted, but no
earlier than July 1. SAS submitted between 7/2 and 8/31 have
submission date as start date for Title I grant (FP201.)
 July 1 - Title I, Part A End-of-Year Report, iGrants FP 244
 August 31: Final Title I, Part A budget revisions, iGrants FP 201,
due for ending school year
 August 31: Last day SAS is accepted (FP 201)
 Beginning of the school year: Review district parent involvement
policy & building parent policy
 Private School Services begin at the same time as public school
services
Deadlines:
 September 1: Title I applications, iGrants FP 201
 September 1: Title I Summer School Report, iGrants FP 246
 Beginning of school year:
o District must provide report card information to parents and
community on the progress of each school and the district
as a whole toward meeting student progress related to
state and national goals and staff qualifications
o District must notify parents of students in Title I, Part A
served buildings of their right to request qualifications of
their students’ teachers and paraprofessionals
o Principal Attestations must be completed by principal at
each Title I, Part A school and kept on file at district and
school
 October 1: District deadline to notify OSPI of intent to participate
