Marketing Intern
Kong Concepts, the maker of the fun and innovative cleaning product Grease Monkey Wipes, is
seeking a Marketing Intern. This internship is unpaid but is structured to give the intern maximum
exposure to the marketing operations of a small business. Our goal is to provide the intern with a
rewarding experience and usable skills that will assist them as they search for paid positions. We
are looking for someone with a flexible schedule that could work from our various locations 2-4
days a week. If you have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and want to learn about the many aspects
of our business, we want to hear from you.
The Marketing/Sales internship is a hybrid role that includes assignments and learning
opportunities across our sales, communications, marketing, operations, and events divisions.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
 Researching marketing trends
 Assisting to create and manage Facebook/Twitter campaigns
 Assisting to create and manage blog posts
 Participating in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
 Coordinating public relations efforts, media relations, and promotional campaigns.
 Assisting to create and distribute video content.
 Representing company at industry events and expos.
 Providing support in order fulfillment and product kitting.
Minimum Requirements
 Minimum commitment of 10-20 hour per week (various Austin locations).
 Ability to work well with diverse groups of people.
 Entrepreneurial, creative mindset with interest in start-up businesses.
 Exceptional organizational skills.
 Self-starting, proactive and have a willingness to take ownership of projections with
minimal oversight.
 Ability to build and maintain relationships with partners, vendors, and affiliates.
 Active on social networking websites such as Facebook and Twitter.
