Course Description
The purpose of this course is to enable students to achieve basic understanding of
computer theories and practices. The course content focuses on basic techniques of
Microsoft office
The topics covered are MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
Course Objectives
The objectives of the course are:




Enabling students to develop high level of computer skills that prepare them for
studying at the University;
Enabling students to develop an understanding of the computer context in which
their computing contributions will be utilized;
Enabling students to apply computer knowledge to solve designated problems;
Enabling students to demonstrate interpersonal skills necessary for group work;

Learning Activities and Tasks
Prior lecture preparation: Students may consult the syllabus to know about material

Use of technology: Students are required to use the recent technology offered by Qatar

Extra work: Students are expected to put in at least 3 hours outside of class for every
hour in class including office hour consultations.

Students are expected to be punctual
The use of mobile telephones inside the classroom in strictly Forbidden
Food and Drink are not allowed in the class.
