Walk test. ¾ Drive test. ¾ The package contains: CatchAll-SE™ RF measurement receiver. ¾ A rugged tablet PC with pre-installed CDCS-2 data capture software. ¾ A high capacity Lithium Ion battery. ¾ A padded backpack with a purpose-designed mounting frame and TETRA antenna. ¾ Slide 4 © Multiple Access Communications Ltd 2009 CatchAll-SE Receiver Measurement receiver for PMR networks (TETRA, Tetrapol, etc.) in the frequency range 300MHz to 2000MHz. Instantaneous sampling of 5MHz BW. ¾ Can measure simultaneously the RSSI of 200 TETRA channels at a rate of up to 125 times per second. Decodes the “Sync” and “SysInfo” messages carried on TETRA broadcast channels and estimates C/I. Smaller and lower-power version of MAC Ltd’s CatchAll™ receiver with enhanced functionality. ¾ Slide 5 Includes accelerometer for improved positional accuracy during walk testing. © Multiple Access Communications Ltd 2009 CatchAll-SE versus Scanning Receiver Slide 6 © Multiple Access Communications Ltd 2009 CatchAll-SE versus Test Mobile CatchAll-SE ¾ ¾ ¾ ¾ ¾ Fast RSSI measurement Network/Handset independent Sees all channels Calibrated Adjacent channels visible Test Mobile ¾ ¾ ¾ ¾ Slide 7 Provides detailed protocol information Can provide voice quality data Representative of a standard handset Tests uplink and downlink © Multiple Access Communications Ltd 2009 CDCS-2 Data Capture Software CDCS-2 is the data capture software provided in the CRIBS package. Pre-installed on the tablet PC. ¾ Data capture using waypoints. Suitable for performing walk-test measurements for example inside buildings. ¾ Data capture using GPS. Suitable for walk-testing or drive-testing outdoors. ¾ Time-triggered or distance-triggered capture (using external wheel pulse). ¾ Slide 8 © Multiple Access Communications Ltd 2009 In-building Surveys using Waypoints Waypoints are added to the map to show the current position. Accelerometer data are used to detect if the user is walking or stationary when between waypoints. ¾ ¾ Slide 9 Measurements can be located more accurately. No time pressure on the user when adding the next waypoint. © Multiple Access Communications Ltd 2009 Drive Testing using GPS Position information comes from GPS. ¾ Internal GPS unit in the CatchAll-SE. ¾ Alternatively, the user can use an external GPS unit. During capture, the route followed is displayed as a snail-trail on the map. Slide 10 © Multiple Access Communications Ltd 2009 QoS Measurement On-the-fly processing gives a live display of signal-strength and QoS. RSSI. ¾ Estimated C/I. ¾ Location Area Code (LAC). ¾ QoS data from “Sync” and “SysInfo” messages carried on TETRA broadcast channels. No post-processing required for results files. ¾ Slide 11 Quickly determine the reasons for poor coverage. © Multiple Access Communications Ltd 2009 Building Plan Import Easily import building floor plans. Creates loadable map file from an image file. ¾ .jpg, .tiff etc. Can import a single image or batch import multiple images. Slide 12 © Multiple Access Communications Ltd 2009 TRAMPS-2 TRAMPS-2 is an application for mapping and analysing data from MAC Ltd's CatchAll and CRIBS TETRA measurement tools. Suitable for both in-building and wide-area data analyses. ¾ Uses the same maps and building plans as CDCS-2. Accumulates and averages RSSI and QoS data into a grid of data bins. Selectable bin size. ¾ Multiple files can be loaded as one set of drive test data. ¾ Directly load data captured with CDCS-2. ¾ Quick and easy to use.
