AMBER Alert Training and Technical Assistance – Build A Course May 16-19, 2016 | Ames, IA Training Fee Training Description This 3 ½ day training program is designed to provide first responders, investigators, and child protection officials with the information necessary to respond to reports of missing, endangered and abducted children utilizing best practices in response, investigation and case management. Participants will focus on the initial response, crime scene management and evidence collection, behavioral aspects of the offender and search and canvass strategies to identify and locate the suspect and the missing child. Training will culminate with an interactive tabletop exercise to bring together the elements taught during this course. This training is appropriate for patrol, investigations, supervisors, crime scene personnel, prosecutors and child protection officials who are responsible for assisting with cases involving missing and/or abducted children. There is NO FEE to attend this training; however, pre-registration is required. The deadline to register is April 4, 2016.
