About The Trainer Claimable under SBL Susan Verghese has worked in the hospitality training field for over 25 years which included hotel schools and hospitality consultancies. She was working in the housekeeping department of various hotels for a number of years before she set her sights on imparting her knowledge and experience to students pursuing courses in hotel management. Prior to her work experience, she attained relevant academic qualifications which would aid her in furthering her career both in the hospitality industry as well as the education sector. This included a Diploma in Hotel Management from Switzerland as well as a Degree in Science majoring in Home Economics. Susan was appointed to an executive position in her first job at a resort after completing a training stint in hospitality operations. Her subsequent move to a prestigious city hotel proved to be a good move since it was here she also acquired a taste for conducting extensive training for the staff of the housekeeping department. In 1987 she was certified as a Departmental Trainer for the Hyatt International Corporation. Her move to the education line in the hospitality industry was just an extension of the capability she had in conducting and facilitating training sessions. She has been teaching and training for over 25 years in exclusive hotel schools and hotels specializing in Certification programs, Supervision, Train the Trainer, Housekeeping and Hospitality English. She is a Certified Instructor for the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AH&LA) as well as a Certified Hospitality Trainer (CHT) for AH&LA. She is currently a consultant trainer for MAHTEC, conducting certification programs in Training and Supervision, Hospitality English, Housekeeping both in city and resort hotels as well as Diploma and Certification programs offered by MAHTEC.
