Support the Media and Data Practice department with community relationship
management, thought leadership, industry relations, events management and
education. This role requires an organized, energetic, team player with
experience and passion for the media and advertising industry.
Primary Responsibilities
Own management of several media and data committees:

Manage the coordination of committee activities which include,
partnering with committee chairs and SVP’s in identifying goals,
projects and recuriting speakers for committee events. Onboarding
new committee members, communicating meeting minutes
and oversee Coordinator in arranging logistics of meetings and
summits.

Serve as staff representative to several 4A’s media and data
committees including:
Mid Size Media Directors Committee – Large active committee
composed of media leaders from small and mid size agencies across
the country. This committee focuses on all channels and aspects of
managing media business from organizational issues, educational
and media strategy. Management includes covering both phone
and in-person multi-day summits.
Digital Operations and Technology Committee – Small influential
committee composed of senior data and operations leaders. This
committee focuses on providing leadership in areas of operations
and technology. This committee is a key driver of opinions and
feedback on standards, and partners closely with efforts on industry
supply chain issues.
Next Generation Publishing Committee – A committee of agency
leaders focused on driving best practices and pushing the publishing
media (print, magazine, tablet and digital components) forward.
Local Video and Audio Committee – Active committee of video and
audio planners and buyers focused on driving best practices and
standards. This committee partners with the National Video and
Audio Committee and the Measurement Task Force to solve
industry challenges.
Represent Media & Data Practice in partnership with other
departments:
 Partner with the Marketing team on marketing media and data
events and webinars. Participate in department website
modifications and social media activity.
 Partner with 4A’s Research Services to understand key
trends and needs of members.
Advise Membership:
 Provide consultation services through individual consulting and
interchanges/surveys to member agencies on media-related
matters across channels, capabilities and best practices. Subject
matter includes digital, broadcast, interactive, ad tech, outdoor,
mobile, social media, data insights, measurement, analytics and
critical industry topics such as viewability and ad quality, etc.
Own key components of educational activities:

Develop and manage some department educational webinars
including recruitment of speakers and coordination of marketing
material. Oversee management and logistics of regional training
programs with key partners.

Support management in programming for key events including the
4A’s summit and conferences, committee events, industry town
halls and events.
Support Media & Data Practice Initatives:

Partner with EVP & SVP and Agency Relationship Management
team in their efforts to secure new membership acquisition and
retention.

Participate in department planning, identification and development
of new value added services for members. Support 4A’s efforts to
shape the necessary conversations around vital industry topics.

Support industry advocacy efforts and POV development by
members and committees. Support agency 3MS’s (Making
Measurement Make Sense) educational and collaborative
initiatives.

Oversee Coordinator in managing logistics for team meetings,
training initatives and other department events.
Requirements








Minimum of 5 years’ work experience at a media agency or media
department of an advertising agency
Knowledge of media planning, buying and measurement from a
media or full-service agency
Knowledge of media theory and media terminology, including
traditional and social media reference
Excellent skills in writing, communication and presentation
Exceptional management and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working both independently and in a team
Comfortable interacting and building relationships with both mid
level and senior level executives
Strong organizational skills, an ability to multi-task and solve
problems
