ABOUT OUR TRAINER Steven Koh | MBA (Chicago), CFA, MSc (NUS), BCom (UWA) Steven was previously an Investment Director with SoftBank China Venture Capital from 2013 to 2015. Based in Singapore, he was responsible for sourcing and evaluating private equity deals, financial structuring, fund raising and risk management for the firm. Steven joined SoftBank China Venture Capital from Chicago Aquarius Advisory where he was the Managing Consultant advising regional SMEs on financial structuring and corporate strategy. Prior to that, Steven spent four years on the buy side managing equity portfolios, researching stocks, sectors and geographic regions. In addition, Steven has fifteen years of sell side experience, mainly as an equity analyst in the Asia Pacific market. Steven was working with DBS Asset Management in Singapore as a Senior Portfolio Manager managing the Asia Pacific and Europe equity funds. Prior to this, Steven was working with UOB Asset Management in Singapore as a Portfolio Manager managing international funds with geographical responsibility for Europe as a strategist. Steven started his career in UOBAM as a senior investment analyst covering financials and real estate sectors for the Asia Pacific markets. Prior to his buy side career, Steven was with Standard & Poor’s Asia Equity Research in the capacity of Director of Research cum Chief Asian Strategist from 2000 to 2005. He was personally responsible for the regional Telecoms, Media and Technology companies within Asia & Japan. He also pioneered the equity research for REITs in Singapore and Hong Kong for S&P in 2002. He had extensive management experience in his previous roles as Head of Research in J.M Sassoon & Co and PT BDNI Securities. Steven is a Chartered Financial Analyst since 2001. He graduated with a Master of Business Administration with the University of Chicago in March 2005 and a Master of Science (Applied Finance) from the National University of Singapore in 2000.
