Tutorial Program
ICC is an international business organization established in 1919 with
headquarters in Paris. The overriding aim of this organization is to participate
actively in enhancing the world economy by forming an international trade that is
more open and accountable. Members of ICC are companies and institutions in over
120 countries, united in the national committees in their respective countries. ICC
Indonesia is the ICC National Committee in the country, representative of the
Republic of Indonesia to ICC and membership coordinator of Indonesian business
Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) is the international benchmark qualification for
documentary credit specialists. It is a professional certification that is recognized worldwide as a mark of
competence in documentary credits. It enables documentary credit practitioners to demonstrate and enhance the
special knowledge and skills needed to perform effectively in a fast-paced commercial environment.
CDCS examination is conducted every year in the month
of April, in over 70 countries worldwide. It is a
comprehensive assessment of the level of understanding
and implementation skills of ICC International Trade
Rules, such as UCP, ISBP, ISP, URC, URDG, URR, Indoterm,
etc. CDCS exam participants come from practitioners,
such as bankers and corporate professionals in
international trade transactions. This tutorial provides
executives who hardly have time because of their busy
activities and tight schedules, to prepare for the exam.
In the last three years, in order to accelerate the
learning process and quickly develop the
participants' ability to review CDCS material
and summary of key issues, ICC Indonesia has
facilitated exam participants through the CDCS
Tutorial Program. In so doing, ICC Indonesia has
helped increase the number of CDCS holders in
Indonesia from 7 to 93. Participants came from
government-owned banks, private & foreign
banks and some of them passed the exam with
honor and distinction.
