Thursday, January 21- Day One:
Jefferson Forum will meet after school at 3pm in
the Library.
Computer Club will meet in room A207 after
school and will meet every Tuesday after school
in Room A207 with Dr. Futcher.
TRI-M meets every second Thursday of the month
at 7am in room C103.
Mock Trial will meet after school in the library.
Team Harmony will meet at 7:15am in Room
A102 with Ms. Reardon and Ms. Sliney. All are
welcome!
MHS Engineering Club: come with a team or by
yourself after school in Room B213.
Drive Club will meet before school at 7:30am in
Room A204.
New Club-Comic Con will meet in Room A307
after school.
Friday, January 22- Day Two:
Drama Club will meet every other week after
school at 2:45pm in room C105. All are welcome!

Interact Club: will meet at 7:30m in the
auditorium and every Friday. All are welcome!

The Art Club is student run club after school from
3-4pm. The meetings will be in Room B206.

any and all work is complete and
passed in prior to the close.

MHS is featured in a segment on this week’s
‘Headliner newscast on MHTV. Tune in to get to
hear more about the Team Harmony at MHS.
The segment was produced by Advanced TV
Student Garrett Tully and features interviews
with Ms. Reardon and Ms. Sliney. ‘Headliner is
broadcast every day at Noon, 6:30pm, and
most days at 9pm. MHTV is channel 8 on
Comcast and channel 28 on Verizon. The
segment will run through January 22nd at
12pm.
Important Announcement for the
Class of 2018
Come And Get your Early Bird Special
Ticket for the Semi!
Tickets are on sale during all three lunches now
through 1/22 for the discounted price of $40.
Tickets sold after that will be $45 as available until
Friday, February 12th. Don’t delay stop by the
sales table during lunch. The Sophomore Semi
will be held on March 11th, 7-11 pm at the
Hawthorne Hotel in Salem. Busses will leave the
high school promptly at 6:30 so students must
arrive by 6.

and A.P. 12. They are due on Wednesday,
January 20 at 2:35 p.m. The writing sample will
be held on Thursday, January 21 at both 7:00
a.m. and 3 p.m. Students with questions
should see either Ms. Buono (A.P. 11) or Ms.
Jones (A.P. 12).
Starting Monday, February 1st and
every Monday the Career Center will
be in guidance from 10am - 10:30am
to help with resumes, getting a parttime job and more.

Please donate lightly used shoes, jewelry, purses,
makeup and dresses for the Metrowest Princess
Boutique. This organization eases the financial burden
for students in the Marlborough area going to their prom.
Donations will be collected now until February 1 in
the box outside the guidance office. With questions

The Interact Club Picture Book Drive:
Please bring in spare picture books to be donated
to schools in the Phillippines. The picture books
can be dropped off in the bin under the stair case
in the lobby. This is an ongoing book drive until
we collect 400 books, thanks!
NHS Tutoring is in the library during student study
blocks. Any student who would benefit from
some additional free tutoring please contact:

CLASS 2018:
In accordance with the Massachusetts Department of Public
Health, we will be conducting state mandated health
screenings (vision, hearing, height and weight) beginning
later this month and continuing over the next few months.
Notices will be sent home only if a student has difficulty with
the vision or hearing screens.
If you would like to opt your child out of this screening
process, please notify the nurses in writing.

MAGIC HAT THRIFT SHOP STUDENT VOLUNTEER
OPPORTUNITY: MHS students needed to volunteer for 1
hour shifts on Saturdays, between 8:30am-1:30pm. Earn
community service hours. Funds raised through student
volunteer hours go to MHS. SIGN-UP ON THE LINK ON
THE MHS HOMEPAGE.
The First Bell is at 7:50am at MHS with the Late Bell
being at 7:55am. It is each student’s responsibility to
be seated in their classroom or study at that time ready
to begin class. Please make an effort to come to school
early and avoid the traffic.
Traffic Drop Off and Pick UpThe front circle is reserved for emergency vehicles,
special needs buses and the METCO bus. Please DO
NOT park in the front circle.
