THE KITE RUNNER
Reading Timeline
Below is a reading guide for our novel, The Kite Runner. Most of the work
for this novel will be done in class. However, you will be required to do
most of the reading outside of class time. It is imperative that you come to
class with the assigned chapters read.
Every time there are chapters assigned, you can expect a QUIZ at the
beginning of the class and you will also use those assigned chapters to write
your literary circle roles.
If you miss a class and bring a note, you may make up the quiz on the
day you return and are expected to have your literary role completed
upon your return.
Read Ch 1-3 by Thurs, April 12th (p.1-25 = 25pgs)
Read Ch 4-6 by Mon, April 16th (p.26-52 = 36pgs)
Read Ch 7-9 by Wed, April 18th (p.63-115 = 52pgs)
Read Ch 10-13 by Mon, April 23rd (p.116-199 = 83pgs)
Read Ch 14-17 by Tues, April 24th (p.200-235 = 35pgs)
Read Ch 18-21 by Mon, April 30th (p.236-285 = 49pgs)
Read Ch 22-25 by Wed, May 2nd (p.286-391 = 105pgs)
***There will be a QUIZ at the beginning of each class on the assigned
dates.
These dates are tentative and could change. However, at this time
the UNIT TEST for The Kite Runner is scheduled for Thurs,
May 10th and Friday, May 11th.
