BlueCat DNS, DHCP, and IPAM Certification:
Become a BlueCat Certified Professional
Certification Overview
BlueCat certifications are designed for DNS, DHCP and IPAM administrators who have
proven their proficiency in BlueCat technologies. BlueCat offers two certifications,
BlueCat Fundamentals Certified Professional (BFCP) and BlueCat Advanced Certified
Professional (BACP). Students may complete coursework for one or both learning
paths and must pass a final examination for each learning path to earn certification.
BlueCat Fundamentals Certified
Professional (BFCP)
BlueCat Advanced Certified Professional
(BACP)
The BlueCat Fundamentals Certified Professional (BFCP)
program examines the administration of the BlueCat
Address Manager solution and the core network
services provided by BlueCat DNS/DHCP servers as well
as Windows DNS and DHCP services. Upon completion
of the IPAM Essentials and BlueCat Fundamentals
courses, you may take the BlueCat Fundamentals
Certified Professional (BFCP) exam to become BFCP
certified.
The BlueCat Advanced Certified Professional (BACP)
program examines security and advanced IPAM
concepts designed for DNS, DHCP and IPAM
administrators. It is recommended that you complete
the IPAM Essentials and BlueCat Fundamentals courses
prior to taking BlueCat Security and Advanced
Configuration. Upon completion of the BlueCat
Security and Advanced Configuration course, you may
take the BlueCat Advanced Certified Professional
(BACP) exam to become BACP certified.

IPAM Essentials (E-Learning)
Length: 1 hour
IPAM Essentials is an introductory e-learning course that gives
networking professionals a functional understanding of the
BlueCat Address Manager system as it is commonly used. The
course assumes that attendees have a general understanding
of networking concepts and TCP/IP protocols, as well as a
strong grasp of DNS, DHCP and IPv4 addressing.
BlueCat Security and Advanced Configuration
Length: 8 hours
BlueCat Security and Advanced Configuration is designed to
teach concepts related to DNS security and advanced IPAM
concepts. This course assumes that attendees have a general
understanding of networking concepts and TCP/IP protocols,
as well as a strong grasp of DNS, DHCP and IPv4 addressing.
Students should also have completed the BlueCat
Fundamentals course prior to taking this course.
Upon completion of this course, students are able to:

BlueCat Fundamentals
Length: 5 days (virtual), 4 days (onsite)
BlueCat Fundamentals focuses on the administration of the
BlueCat Address Manager solution and the core network
services provided by BlueCat DNS/DHCP servers as well as
Windows DNS and DHCP services. The course assumes that
attendees have a general understanding of networking
concepts and TCP/IP protocols, as well as a strong grasp of
concepts related to DNS, DHCP and IPv4 addressing. Students
should also have completed the IPAM Essentials course prior
to taking BlueCat Fundamentals.
