The Secrets to Coaching Your Team to Success – Part 1 of 2 As a manager and leader, you have different types of personalities in your team, right? And they all come with their own challenges too, right? Thought so. And when it comes to developing your team and performance managing them, they all have different needs too. In fact, we all learn differently, and we all make decisions differently. So how do you coach and develop your team with so many dynamics and personalities? In this article I’m going show you the secrets to decoding each type of personality and their style of decision making to make coaching each them easy. And by knowing how to adjust your coaching style to suit their preferred style of communication and learning style, you’ll see results faster than ever before. This is what we use in the Team Intelligence system. My coaching results when I started coaching were good, but lacked punch and consistency. I’d have great results with some clients, and not with others and I didn’t know why. After having a brief chat with one of my mentors, it became blindingly obvious that I didn’t know how each person saw things. Sure I knew of the basics, but what was missing was some advanced training in different personality styles. Straight after the training my coaching results went through the roof. Not only was I able to coaching each client using their own style of communication, I got how they saw things in their world, and I got the results they wanted in half the time! So let’s look at an overview of the four personality types: 1. The D personality type -­‐ the “Lion” 2. The I personality type -­‐ the “Dolphin”, 3. The S personality type -­‐ the “Mother Bear”, and 4. The C personality type -­‐ the “Squirrel”.
