Standing in the doorway was his older sister with her hands behind her back. She had a
surprise just for him and had been waiting for the perfect moment to attack. “Hey Mikey,” she
said with a cackle. “Guess what I have in store for you?” With complete terror in his eyes, he
squeaked out, “What?” as he waited in anticipation for an unwelcomed surprise. In a swift
movement, she brought out a rubber tarantula hanging from a stick. As he was still young and
his mind still developing, he failed to make the connection the spider was simply a toy. He
shrieked like a little girl as he bolted from the bathtub in nothing more than his birthday suit and
headed for the door. As she became engulfed in a fit of maniacal laughter, she chased after him
and yelled, “He’s going to get you! He’s going to get you!” She loved to torment her younger
brother and this was the best trick she had thought up in years.
She cornered him behind the couch. He was like a mouse caught in a trap about to face
their death. That’s when he saw it: the perfect escape. He stumbled back, unsure as to whether
or not to make a run for it. When he saw his sister fast approaching with the dreadful spider, he
knew it was worth the embarrassment. When she was close enough, he dove beneath her legs
and bolted for the front door. His slippery hands stumbled across the doorknob as he found it
difficult to make a firm grasp. He heard her footsteps grow louder and louder and with one final
cry, he shoved the door open and ran outside. For a moment, she remained dumbfounded as to
the decision of her younger and naked brother to unveil his body to the outside world. She
pondered over his bizarre escape before shrugging it off and working her way through the front
door.
For what felt like hours of pure enjoyment, she chased her naked brother around the
outskirts of the house.
