How to Enable HP Web Services and Configure HP ePrint HP Web Services HP Web Services is a suite of Web-based printing services that enable a supported HP product to do the following: Print apps: Print directly from select Web applications. (Not supported on this product.) HP ePrint: Print documents by using any e-mail enabled device to send them to the product’s e-mail address. Connect to a network Before you can use HP Web Services, your supported HP product must be connected to a wired or wireless network. See the documentation that came with your product for instructions. After the product is connected to the network, print a configuration page and identify the product IP address. Update your product If your product supports HP Web Services, but the services were not included when you bought it, you can add HP Web Services by updating the product firmware. To determine if HP Web Services are installed, follow these instructions: 1. Print a configuration page from your product, and locate the IP address. 2. At your computer, open a Web browser and type the product IP address into the address line. The HP Embedded Web Server opens. 3. If an HP Web Services tab does not appear on the HP Embedded Web Server, update your product. Go to www.hp.com/go/ljm4555mfp_firmware_Mac_eprint for instructions. Enable HP Web Services To use HP ePrint, you must first enable HP Web Services. 1. Print a configuration page from your product, and locate the IP address. 2. At your computer, open a Web browser and type the product IP address into the address line. The HP Embedded Web Server opens. 3. Click the HP Web Services tab. 4. Select the option to enable Web Services. 5. When Web Services are enabled, ePrint information appears in the HP Embedded Web Server. Look for the e-mail address that is automatically assigned to the product. The product also prints an HP Web Services page that contains this e-mail address and instructions for using the service. Configure HP ePrint Product control panel: This product does not support configuring HP ePrint from the product control panel. Web: For all supported HP products, use the HP ePrintCenter Web site to define security settings and to configure default print settings for all HP ePrint jobs sent to this product. 1. Go to www.hpeprintcenter.com. 2. Click Sign In, and enter your HP ePrintCenter credentials or sign up for a new account. 3. Select your product from the list, or click + Add printer to add it. To add the product, you need the printer code, which is the segment of the product e-mail address that is before the @ symbol. NOTE: This code is valid for only 24 hours. If it expires, follow the instructions to enable HP Web Services again, and obtain a new code. 4. To prevent your product from printing unexpected documents, click ePrint Settings, and then click the Allowed Senders tab. Click Allowed Senders Only, and add the e-mail addresses from which you want to allow ePrint jobs. 5. To set up default settings for all ePrint jobs sent to this product, click ePrint Settings, click Print Options, and select the settings that you want to use.
