US History – 1970’s Packet
Task J: Learn about one of the most important political events of the 1970’s. Complete the viewing guide for Watergate
– The Final Report that is attached. The link is included in the assignment.
Task K: Research the presidencies of one of the other two US Presidents of the 1970’s: Gerald Ford or Jimmy Carter.
Write 3 paragraphs on what you find. One paragraph should cover the successes of their presidencies, one should cover
the challenges they faced, and one should include how they influenced the development of the United States.
Task L: Pick one of the following pop music trends of the 1970’s:

Find and listen to 5 different songs that would be classified under your selected genre. If possible, find 2-3 different
musical artists to choose from rather than all five from the same artist. Answer 6 of the 8 the following questions below.
** Note: some of the questions will not apply to all songs.
• List the names of the song and the artist. Please ensure that the songs you listened to were produced in the 1970s
