On May 31, Ann Wright was aboard the Mavi Marmara, one of the ships carrying humanitarian aide to Gaza, shortly before it was attacked by Israeli Defense Forces. Nine activists were killed. The people of tiny, densely populated
Gaza have been isolated and bombed repeatedly in recent years, all with U.S.
support. Col. Ann Wright is a retired U.S. army officer and diplomat who resigned in protest over the war in Iraq. She has made five trips to Gaza over the
past two years. She will also be keynote speaker at Century Club luncheon,
