More recent theories and critical pedagogies are included to help develop understanding of present practices. Linguistic and psychological foundations to English language curriculum are included to understand curriculum processes before, during, and after delivery to learners. 1 Course Learning Outcomes: After studying the course, students are expected to be able to: 1. Demonstrate an understanding of key concepts, principles and approaches related to English language curriculum design and development; 2. Differentiate between different types of English language curricula; 3. Critically analyze and evaluate existing English language curricula; 4. Demonstrate an understanding of processes (development, implementation, evaluation) and curriculum meta-orientations and approaches. 5.
