The Man In The Moon
Sometimes At Night When I Look Up In The Sky
There's A Funny Old Man Winkin' His Eye
If You Listen Real Close You Can Hear A Little Tune
Ooh Sha-la La-la Its The Man In The Moon...
Every Now And Then When The Moon's Just Right
Big And Round And Shining So Bright
If You Look Real Close You Can See His Face
Smilin' With Stars In Outer Space
Ooh Sha-la La-la Its The Man In The Moon...
The Man In The Moon ........doing The Thing He Loves
The Man In The Moon.........sending His Light From Above
Who's That Up There Big And Round
All His Light Comes Shinning Down
Listen You Will Hear The Sound
Ooh Sha-la-la-la The Man In The Moon
Magpies And Dragonflies
You’ll Hear The Ol’ Magpies Singing Lulibies
To The Tadpoles Around The Pond.
And All The Dragonflies Try To Harmonize
And The Blackflies Buzz Along.
Buzz Buzz Buzz.....
The Little Pollywogs Are Calling All The Frogs
In The Cool Light Of The Moon
From All The Lillypads The Tiny Tads And Dads
Are All Swaying To The Tune
Everybody’s Happy
Everybody’s Having Some Fun.
Everybody’s Getting Along
They’re All Looking Out For Everyone
The Pretty Turtle Doves Are Soaring High Above
Both Chirping To The Groove
The Dandelions Dance The Tulips Take A Chance
Proudly Showing Off Their Moves
You’ll Hear The Owl Hoot Dressed In His Owl Suit
Tucked Away Up In His Tree
And All The Sleepy Heads Roll Over In Their Beds
To Return Back To Their Dreams.

My Shadow
Has Anybody Seen My Shadow I Can't Find Him Anywhere
Maybe He's Hiding Under My Pillow Or Fast Asleep Behind The Chair
I See Out The Window That It's Raining I Hope That He's Not Out Side
And I Wouldn't Be Complaining If He Was Right Here By My Side
Since I Lost My Shadow I've Been So Alone
So I Anybody Finds My Shadow Please Send My Shadow Home
Now It's Kind Of Hard To Describe Him Cuz' Sometimes He's Very Small
Then Sometimes When I'm Walking Beside Him
He Looks Like He's Over Ten Feet Tall
He's A Curious And Funny Fellow And He's Mostly Grayish Black
If You See Him Please Let Him Know
That I Really, Really, Want Him Back
Chorus
Oh Why Oh Why Is He Hiding Was It Something That I Said
I've Looked In The Closet And Down In The Basement
Out In The Garage And Out In The Shed
I've Looked In The Bedroom, The Mud Room And Playroom
On Top Of The Bureau And Under The Stairs
Has Anybody Seen My Shadow Can’t Find Him Anywhere.
Spoken: If Anybody Finds My Shadow,
Please Tell Him Not To Roam,
Cuz’ I Miss Him And Love Him And I'll Even Hug Him
If You Send My Shadow Home
Has Anybody Seen My Shadow. Repeat And Fade
Little Star
Little Star How You Shine
I'm So Glad You Are Mine
From Your Home Up Above
You Came Along To Share Your Love
Little Star You're In My Heart
And Now I Know We’ll Never Part
Sending Light From Afar
You Will Always Be My
Little Star

Track Notes:
From the Author
Man in the Moon is the title track from my
second album. It was recorded over ten
years ago but still remains one of
my favorites. Magpies and Dragonflies is
from my most recent CD “When the Cows
Come Home”. It reflects the sounds and
flavor of music from the twenties and thirties.
Rise and Shine was written as a sing a long
“movement” song for the littler ones. My
Shadow was penned on a rainy day in April.
This one lends it self well to the children’s
voice used in the chorus and on the
spoken verse. Little Star was written through
many tears. The original paper is literally
stained with tear drops. Written in memory of
Thomas Dylan Haney on of my son’s good
buddies when he was 5 years old.

Little Boy Blue Whatcha' Gonna' Do
You've Run Out Of Games To Play

You've Had Yourself A Busy Day
You Built Your Castles In The Sand
Traveled To Never-never-land
When You Got Scared Daddy Held Your Hand
And Chased Your Blues Away.

The Softer Side
Everybody Gave Him So Much Love
He Didn't Want To Go To His Home Above
But All The Stars Started To Cry
They Want Twinkle Back In The Sky

They Let Him Go Cause He Was So Bright
Like A Diamond Shining In The Night
When He Drove Down Hollywood Boulevard
Everyone Thought He Was A Movie Star

Where I Come From All The Lights Are Green
We Fly Over And Under And In Between
We Never Slow Down When It's Time To Play
On The Other Side Of The Milkyway
The Softer Side
The Children Saw Him Go Whizzing By
And They Pulled Him Over To Ask Him Why
He Didn't Stop When The Light Was Red
And This Is What Little Twinkle Said:
Five Beans was written to help
kids with subtraction. It’s starts
off with five and the beans
keep running away until they’re
all gone. Twinkle is the
continuing story of Twinkle and
his journey when he decides to
come to earth and check out
all the kids. I still think it is one of
my best “lyrically” speaking.
Peachy Pony: When my
daughter was very little her
mother used to call her
“PeachyPony”. I just loved the
sound of the words and tried to
rhyme everything with “Pony”.
‘Happy as a Clam” was written
as the title cut for the “Clam”
album, just a fun play on words
with every ........I could think of.
Little Boy Blue was written for
my little boy. My mom used to
sing me an old wartime lullibye
with the line “Little man you’ve
had a busy day. So I wrote my
own luliby around that line. It is
my hope that you will have as
much fun listening as I did
writing and recording these
tunes. “Happy Listening”. Wayne
