POSITION TITLE: Advertising Manager
REPORTS TO:
I.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans and executes advertising programs of organization by performing the following duties
personally or through subordinate supervisors.
II.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Develops and articulates corporate advertising strategy in response to product objectives.
Designs and maintains a unified corporate advertising program that spans all types of media
opportunities.
Identifies advertising objectives and target markets for products or services.
Builds brand identity and raises awareness through effective advertising programs.
Confers with department heads to outline new policies or sales promotion campaigns.
Allocates advertising space to corporate departments or products.
Confers with outside advertising agencies and print, broadcast, and online media representatives
to negotiate advertising contracts.
Reviews rates and classifications applicable to various types of advertising and provides
appropriate authorization.
Directs creative and production teams in developing and producing advertisements.
Reviews and approves advertisements before release.
Directs research to gather information and compile statistics pertinent to planning and execution
of advertising campaigns.
Assists with new product and service launches, and directs preparation of special promotional
features.
Monitors and analyzes sales promotion results to determine cost effectiveness of campaign.
Manages development and production of collateral and support materials, including trade shows.
Develops and manages department budget.
III.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Degree plus 4-6 years related experience.
