1–UpdateandTimescalesonMigrationfromPolopolytoDrupal[K.Bell]
KBupdatedasfollows:thecentralDrupalhasbeendelayedtwomonths.We
nowexpectthePolopolycontenttobemigratedinMarchattheearliest.We
shouldfindoutw/c29thSeptemberwhichphaseofmigrationweareinandwill
pushtobeinPhase3ifallocatedtoPhase4.
TheDrupaldistributionisnowexpectedinNovember.
2–HouseKeepingRules[K.Bell/T.Totterdell/S.Scott]
Theproposed"InformaticsRequestsforWebsiteChangePolicy"wasaccepted
andwillnowapply.Ifthereareanyissueswiththeapplication,theywillbe
revised.
Twocaseswherethenconsidered:
SocialMediaHub‐havingatoplevelpagelinkedfromthemainhomepage
listingtheSchool'ssocialmedia.Thiswasapproved.Action:KBtoimplement.
OnlineLearning‐havingatoplevelpagelinkedfromthemainhomepagelisting
theSchool'sonlinelearningmaterials.Therewassomediscussionaboutwhat
shouldbelistedonsuchapage,butthegeneralfeelingwasthatit'stooearlyto
haveanonlinelearningpageasit'snotclearwhatiscurrentlyhappeningwith
onlinelearningandwhowouldupdateandmaintainthepages.Thesuggestion
wasnotapproved,butwillremainforconsiderationasthingsdevelop.
MFbroughtuptheissueofensuringpageswereup‐to‐date.Itisexpectedthat
Drupalwillhaveafacilitytoflagpagesforreviewiftheyhaven'tbeenupdatedin
acertainperiodoftime.HPaskedifitwaspossibletoignoreminorupdates
whendoingthis‐thiswasn'tclear,butwillbecheckedoncethesoftwareis
available.
3–ManagementofOutdatedWebPages(1)‐CurrentList[K.Bell]
Therewasconsiderablediscussionabouthowbesttomanageoutdated
webpagesinCVS(onwww.inf.ed.ac.uk,nothomepages.inf).Thefollowingwas
agreed:
‐a"scarebanner"willbeputonCVSlastupdatedmorethan3yearsago.This
willcoveronlysomeareasofCVS.
ACTIONS:NMandHoStodecideonwording.KBandTTtoconfirmwhich
areastostartwithconcentratingoncoreSchoolmaterial.NBtoimplement
‐providingadraftversionfirst.

KBexplainedthatitwashopedtosetupaworkinggrouptoconsiderthenew
intranet.Theaimwastohaveafairlybroadsetofpeoplefromallareasofthe
Schoolandthatagreeingtohelpattheinitialstageswouldn'tnecessarilybea
longtermcommitment.TheKMteamwillcontactDoIs,committeechairs,etcto
askforrepresentatives,includingstudentreps.ACTION:KMTeamtocontact

MFsuggestedthenewintranetincludeaninternalnewspage/apagetoupdate
onchangesgoingon‐particularlychangestobuildingswiththeATdecant.It
wasagreedthiswasagoodsuggestionandwouldbelookedintoonceDrupalis
available.
