Front-End Drupal Developer
RepEquity, a full-service digital agency, is seeking an experienced front-end developer to join its
Washington, D.C. or New York City office. The front-end developer will report directly to the
Director of Technical Services, and will be responsible for HTML, CSS, jQuery and PHP
development of websites for our clients using open-source platforms like Drupal and WordPress.
While Drupal experience is preferred, we are primarily looking for a strong generalist. Most of
our projects do involve customizing, theming and implementing Drupal applications small and
large.
Responsibilities







Write good, clean, semantic code
Cross-browser & device testing (IE 8+, Firefox, Chrome, iOS Devices, Android)
Collaborate with a small team of developers and designers to create usable websites for
our clients
Participate as part of the Information Architecture team
Work with PHP, Drupal, Wordpress and other platforms
Follow current and upcoming technical trends and share ideas and inspiration with the
company
Develop creative solutions to meet our clients’ complex requirements
Position Requirements









Proficient in HTML, CSS and jQuery/Javascript development
Proficient in the Adobe Suite, especially Photoshop
Experience with PHP 5
Good knowledge of Drupal 7 theme development
Be very detail and design-oriented
Able to develop highly custom solutions from scratch, without relying on frameworks
such as Bootstrap
Experience with responsive techniques for front-end development
Working knowledge of version control systems, especially Git
A bachelors degree in any subject is an advantage but not required -- demonstrable
experience is weighed equally with formal training






Web design experience
Confident self-starter
*nix administration experience
Great communication skills
Knowledge of accessibility guidelines such as Section 508 or WCAG2




Initiative to solve problems on your own
Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize accordingly
Ability to work out of our D.C. or NYC office, at least 50% of the time
