1.Personality Profile Test
http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes1.htm
Understanding your personality traits can help you
choose a career that is right for you. Access and
complete the personality test to gain insight into your
preferences and how they relate to potential careers.
There are no right or wrong answers, just the way you
feel. Don't spend a lot of time on each question. Answer
the way you feel best represents you.
Click "Do It!" to get started.
2.Understanding the Myers-Briggs Personality
Indicator
http://www.myersbriggs.org/my-mbti-personalitytype/my-mbti-results/
This site will help you to understand the terms used to
explain your personality type. Remember that one
personality type is not better or worse than another.
This is merely an indicator of how you are and may help
to identify a good match for a future career.
3.Personality Types Explained
http://typelogic.com/
This site gives detailed information on each of the 16
personality types. You can see famous people, both
real and fictional, that share your personality type. You
will want to take note of those names and include some
in your presentation. You may also see some possible
career choices that match your personality type. Please
remember that this is not an exact science. It does not
guarantee success in a chosen career. It is intended
only as one indicator. You can be anything you are
willing to work to become.
4.Occupational Outlook Handbook
http://www.bls.gov/OCO/
This a wonderful site that the U.S. Bureau of Labor and
Statistics makes available to the public. You can search
hundreds of job titles and find detailed information about
salaries, education, training, and projections on specific
jobs. Use the search box or the alphabetical listing to
help locate your job. Keep the search general at first
(i.e. search for physician not brain surgeon). I would
begin my job research here, but that's only a
suggestion.
5.Rules for Creating Your Presentation
http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~mihaib/presentation-rules.html
Since each person will be required to orally present
their work, take time to review the information here. You
will see some helpful tips on composing and delivering
an effective presentation. Of course, the most important
rule is to remember to breathe.
