Objective: Investigate the implications of blood pressure.

Sounds of the Heart
Objective: Investigate the sounds of the heart, construct a
stethoscope, and explore the workings of valves.
LESSON 4a
Valves and Pumps
Objective: Students will see how valves and pumps work
in concert to move blood through the circulatory system.
LESSON 5
Lub Dub (Valves)
Objective: Investigate the source of the sounds of the
heart.
LESSON 5a
Heart as a Pump
Objective: Name and locate the major areas and structures
of the heart and trace the pathway of the blood through the
heart, lungs, and body.

Go With the Flow
Objective: Name and locate the major areas and structures
of the heart and trace the pathway of the blood through the
heart, lungs, and body.

body's respiratory system.

Objective: Measure lung capacity and explore factors that
affect the amount of air the lungs can hold.

Objective: Act out the flow of blood in the circulatory
