ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: What are the differences from the old course assessment (pre 2013) to the new course (2013-2017): • Questions 1, 6 and 11, are no longer 10 x 1 mark questions where a simple demonstration of knowledge is required. They are now in the same format as the other two questions in each booklet assessing the same criteria, with each question (1,2,3; 6,7,8; 11,12,13) being worth 12 marks (not 10, 13 and 13, as has been previously), and; where the application of the knowledge to a theme is valued more highly than the simple demonstration of knowledge without context. • In addition, it should be pointed out that questions 5, 10 and 15, while still worth 12 marks each, now only require candidates to make two links (interrelationships) as opposed to three previously. This means that each link is now worth six marks, where it used to be worth four. Consequently, more detail in relating the information provided to the given scenario (athlete/sport, etc) is expected and/or required than in the past.
