Merry Maids got its start in July of 1987 when Sue and Keith Sutterley decided to open their own business, one that allowed them the lexibility of family time and took advantage of Keith’s extensive experience in the customer service industry. he two initially met in high school, and were coincidentally reunited eight years ater graduating when Keith coincidentally bought a puppy Sue was selling. hey have now been married for 35 years, and have four children and 10 grandchildren. heir bond has carried over into their business, which they take very seriously. he end result has been a franchise with a stellar reputation for quality work and attention to customers. Sometimes that means picking up on the slack of other cleaning businesses. “When we promise we will be there, we make sure we will be there,” said Sue. “A lot of times we will get phone calls that other companies haven’t shown up, and the customer is desperate. We will be there.
