Merry Maids got its start in July
of 1987 when Sue and Keith Sutterley decided to open their own
business, one that allowed them
the lexibility of family time and
took advantage of Keith’s extensive
experience in the customer service

he two initially met in high

when Keith coincidentally bought
a puppy Sue was selling. hey have

their business, which they take very
seriously.
he end result has been a franchise with a stellar reputation for
quality work and attention to customers. Sometimes that means
picking up on the slack of other
cleaning businesses.
“When we promise we will be
there, we make sure we will be
there,” said Sue. “A lot of times we
will get phone calls that other companies haven’t shown up, and the
customer is desperate. We will be
there. We are very customer-oriented, and we try to maintain high
quality standards.”
Merry Maids also keeps a high
standard when it comes to hiring,
and will not employ anyone who
has not undergone and passed a
screening process. here are currently 21 employees working at the
Tucson location.
