As the poet Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “America is another name for opportunity.” The Foundation’s Naming Rights Committee continues to pursue opportunities for the naming rights of certain school assets – which creates opportunities for interested businesses, companies, and community members to get involved.
We welcome input – if you have ideas of businesses and companies that you feel would be suitable to offer naming rights, please let us know. Similarly, if you work for a company that may be interested in taking up the opportunity, please let us know. If you have contacts at businesses and companies with whom you would like us to connect, also please let us know.
This is a great opportunity to be innovative and realize the potential of our untapped resources. Quoting Emerson once again: “Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” We continue to look for new paths.
More than 100 guests came to Maggiano’s
Little Italy Restaurant in September to honor Mona Noyes, the district’s character education coordinator.
Thanks to Mona’s leadership, Cherry Hill continues to exemplify how character education can come to life when we prepare children academically, civically, and ethically.
The event raised more than $3,400 for the
Mt. Misery Scholarship Fund. The food was fabulous and the raffle “Baskets of
Character” were spectacular. Speakers included friends and colleagues who attested to Mona’s many years of service to students as a volunteer and a district staff member. A special treat was the performance by Cherry Hill West’s
Men of Note. Congratulations, Mona, for this well-deserved honor!

Education core team. Bottom photo: Mona is serenaded by Men of Note as her husband David looks on.
Blue skies were the backdrop for the
Foundation’s 2010 Golf Tournament in which more than 50 golfers raised nearly
$16,000 to fund grant initiatives throughout our schools.
Many thanks to the Golf Committee members who contributed their time and talents to make the event a success: Co-
Chairs Kevin Bush and Jack Tarditi; Dr.
David Campbell, Superintendent, and Dr.
Maureen Reusche, Assistant Superintendent
