Series Discussion Questions Heartland Community Church July 1, 2007 An Inconvenient Truth Al Gore, Davis Guggenheim, 2006 It is our hope that Documentary, a series by Heartland Community Church, provokes much reflection and dialogue far beyond our four walls on Sunday. Therefore, we have asked the teachers for each documentary to provide some questions as "conversation starters" for you, your family, roommates, or for your small group. For optimum conversation, we recommend that you rent the documentary and watch it together (viewer discretion advised). Then grab your Bible, pour yourselves a cup of joe and dive in together. Feel free to drop us an email and let us know how it goes: contact@heartlandchurch.org. 1. What was your general reaction to An Inconvenient Truth? 2. On a scale of 1 to 10 rate your level of interest in environmental issues (1 being low or never thought about it, 10 being passionate)? 3. Has your worldview changed regarding the value of nature? If so, how? 4. Do you believe that addressing the environmental issues is a moral imperative (absolutely necessary), but not necessarily a moral equivalent (on equal par) to humanitarian issues? 5. What are some practical ways you and/or your family can be conscientious stewards of our environment?
