Whole Foods Market has a long history of founding charitable organizations connected to its core values. Whole Kids Foundation, founded in 2011, and Whole Cities Foundation, founded earlier this year are collaborating on development initiatives and growing our efforts with a six-­‐month contract position that will support the work of both organizations. Donor Relations Account Specialist The responsibility of this new contract position is to manage day-­‐to-­‐day relations and expectations with corporate donors, including supplier partners, with a goal of continued fundraising support. This position will have direct communications with donors as it relates to special requests and project management of benefits that are outlined for corporate donors. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: • Regular communication and on-­‐going supplier relations management support including direct communications with corporate donors. • Management of projects to build awareness about supplier partnerships and corporate donors that support the Foundation’s mission (digital, in store, events). • Manage deadline-­‐driven details that recognize and provide value to corporate donors such as eNewsletters, blog posts and social media communications, including content strategy, gathering of information, editing and approval. • Project management and organizing processes and details for supplier-­‐ valued benefits including campaigns and special events. • Direct communications liaison between corporate donors and internal teams at Whole Foods Market. • Communicate directly with WFM regions and stores to educate, inform and inspire celebration of our supplier partners and work closely with teams planning events on deadline-­‐driven details. • Enter donor checks and payments in Salesforce donor management system and send acknowledgement letters and receipts. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree 1 to 3 years of non-­‐profit fundraising experience 1 to 3 years of account, client relations or project management experience Strong interpersonal and relationship-­‐building skills Ability to think independently and a solutions-­‐oriented problem solver Ability to be comfortable in ambiguous situations Good with managing multiple details and follow-­‐through Ability to manage projects from concept to fruition with demonstrated success Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be a team player Excellent oral and written communications skills Experienced with Apple Mac and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook A passion for healthy eating and improving nutritious food access for kids and improving individual and overall community health and wellness in underserved communities. Job Location We are small team currently located at the Whole Foods Market satellite location, Las Cimas, Austin office (360 and Bee Caves). Our offices may relocate to downtown Austin within the next six months. We work a 40-­‐hour workweek and workdays are typically Monday-­‐Friday, 9am-­‐5pm.
