and came back to the hotel.

After visiting the Louvres and Notre Dame, they entered into a café to have lunch.
The next landmark: the Eiffel Tower!
After eating, Dr. and Mrs. Vandertramp went to the Eiffel Tower.
Instead of taking the elevator, they went up using the stairs.
They stayed on the top platform for three hours!
Finally, they went down, again using the steps.
All of a sudden, Dr. Vandertrampl fell, went over the banister
and came crashing down on the concrete some thousand feet below!
He died.
Mrs. Vandertramp, distraught, returned to the hotel to get their things,
and returned to Germany alone.
