Omega Performance Exclusively Partners with the IBP
The Institute of Bankers Pakistan (IBP) is pleased to announce its partnership with Omega Performance
for the launch of its certification programs and trainings in Pakistan. This is a significant development in
the area of risk certification and we hope it will help us upgrade the quality and skills of the banking
industry’s credit, risk and lending personnel. IBP is the exclusive partner for Omega in Pakistan and the
first program that IBP is launching as a result of this partnership is the Credit Skills Development (CSD)
program which is a certification based program based on 18 modules.

About CSD
Credit Skills Development (CSD) is designed to help lenders learn and develop basic corporate and
commercial lending skills and provide them with a step-by-step strategy for making sound commercial
credit decisions. Participants learn how to gather data needed for analysis and decision-making, assess
the risks of a prospective loan, and structure and document a commercial loan package. The chief
emphasis of the program is on risk analysis - identification of credit risks associated with a loan and the
development of strategies to manage identified risks.
The CSD program is aimed at both credit and relationship management teams- in short, at all those
involved in the writing and assessment of credit proposals. It aims to give them a solid foundation in the
identification, assessment and management of credit risks, essentially those factors contributing to the
probability of default under Basel II. It also deals with facility structuring and so (if for example,
combined with your own policies on security taking and valuation) could also contribute to the
assessment of exposure default and loss given default.

CSD Program Delivery
The program is split into 3 parts:
- Pre-Assessment Stage- Supervised (by IBP) online test on 15 modules
- Self-study Stage- Paper-based- 18 modules
- Assessment/Certification Stage- Supervised (by IBP) online test on 15 modules
To supplement the self-study stage, IBP will also provide tutoring workshops on various advanced
modules of the CSD.
Reporting/Intelligence Provided
The CSD reporting engine is capable of providing unique empirical peer group data so that clients can
benchmark staff against a global peer group. The data includes module scores, completion status,
length of time to complete modules and aggregate performance by module and by question. A number
of standard reports are generated for management review of performance against assessment.
Certification Completion Requirement
The participant will have to complete all online assessment modules with a pass percent of 80% to
qualify for the CSD Certification by Omega. The certification will be a joint certification by Chartered
Banker, UK; Omega Performance and IBP.
The successful completion of 15 Credit Skills Assessment Modules entitles participants to acquire an
Advanced Diploma in Credit from the Chartered Institute of Bankers Scotland and three credits
towards the Chartered Banker professional designation.
