SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER EXAMS
The April exams have recently finished, and students
should now be well into planning their summer study
session. Full details of how ActEd can help are

EMPLOYER UPDATE WEBINAR
We are planning our second annual Employer Update
webinar for September. In last year’s popular webinar,
we brought employers up to speed with the latest
developments here at ActEd, including:



BPP Actuarial Education has produced a wide range of
affordable, online study resources to prepare students
studying for the CAA exams. For each of Modules 1 to
4 there is a textbook, an individual study manual,
numerous online tests as well as two practice exams.
Online tutorials are also being rolled out very soon. For
Module 5 there is a textbook available with more
resources, including a Practice Exam, in production
during this summer. The material can be studied at
times and places suitable to students wherever they are
in the world. More details are available on the BPP

COMPANY REPORTS
This session we are planning to send company reports
to employers on the following dates:
Wednesday 15th July 2015
Wednesday 12th August 2015
Wednesday 9th September 2015
Wednesday 7th October 2015
The reports provide a summary of the assignment
grades and tutorial attendance for your students to help
you monitor their progress. We can provide this
information by email or post, in a pdf file or
spreadsheet. We can also run one-off reports for you if
required. If you have any questions about company

CERTIFIED ACTUARIAL ANALYST (CAA)
The CAA qualification is now fully operational.
Modules 0 to 4 will be examined in June and November
each year. Module 5 is being examined in June and
October 2015 and February 2016, with other dates to
follow. Completion of the CAA exams provides an
internationally recognised, professional qualification for
those in technical roles, and offers a gateway to a
career in financial services.
In March 2015, the assessment process for Subject
CA2 (model documentation, analysis and reporting)
changed. Whilst the syllabus has remained the same,
the exam will now be sat over two separate days, a
week apart. Students are able to sit the exam online
and so won’t need to travel to an exam centre twice.
However, some of the Subject CA2 exam dates are
close to the other exams in September 2015, and so
students will need to factor this into their study plans.
To reflect this change in the assessment process,
ActEd has updated the products available to students to
help them prepare for this exam. The Live Online
preparation days have proven to be very popular, and
are a cost-effective way to increase students’ chances
of success. A one-day face-to-face tutorial is also
available, along with practical assignments where
students are able to get specific feedback on their work.

LIVE ONLINE TUTORIALS
This session we are offering Live Online Regular or
Block Tutorials in all CT Subjects, all CA Subjects, ST2,
ST4, ST9 and SA4, plus a host of online Revision
Tutorials in a variety of subjects. Each course will be
challenging and interactive, and aim to replicate as
closely as possible what you would experience at a
face-to-face tutorial, without the need to travel to a
