Classroom Policies
1.
You will be expected to bring the following items to class with you every day: a.
A dedicated, bound notebook for notes b.
Two or more sharpened pencils with erasers. No Pens.

Scientific calculator d.
Physics Reference Table

You will need the following to be left in the classroom: a.
A 2”, three ring binder or a sturdy folder with pockets.
3.
A textbook will be provided. Take it home and leave it there. Please protect the cover.
Your parents paid a lot of money for these books.
4.
I can’t teach you anything if you’re not in the room. Come to class, and be on time .
5.
You must be seated at all times unless I have specifically stated otherwise.
6.
If I am talking you are not.

Integrity.

You must be respectful at all times.
9.
I am not here to try to trick you. There will be no surprises.
10.
You are expected to make up any missed work in a timely fashion. I reserve the right to penalize your grade if you do not do so responsibly.

Grading Policy: a.
Labs (55%): We will be doing a lot of laboratory activities this year. They must all be maintained in your lab folders. Typed lab reports will be required for all of the labs throughout the year unless specifically stated otherwise. There will be at least one oral presentation during the year. Lab folders must be complete by
Friday, June 3, 2016 or you will be ineligible to take the Regents Exam. b.
Exams (35%): All exams will be announced at least one week in advance.
Exams will be given at the end of every section. c.
Homework / Quizzes (10%): Homework is unavoidable. You will be expected to complete all work neatly on separate paper unless I have specifically stated otherwise. Unless you have spoken with me ahead of time, all homework must be handed in before the corresponding exam or you will receive a zero.
d.
Experience Points: Experience points will be addressed on a separate sheet.
