ESL Teacher's Bio Mie Inouye holds a MA in political science from the University of Toronto, with a specialization in political theory. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude from Tufts University, where she received numerous academic awards for her accompaniments in the humanities and social sciences. Mie has extensive experience teaching elementary, high school and college students. She taught English as a second language to elementary school students in Washington D.C. through D.C Teaching Fellows, a program that trains accomplished college graduates to be highimpact teachers in public schools. At Tufts, she was selected to be a writing fellow and tutored undergraduate students in academic writing in that capacity. Mie has also taught high school debate at Stanford University and the University of Iowa. As a high school student, she competed successfully on the national debate circuit and was the 2003 Massachusetts state champion and top speaker. At Chyten, Mie teaches English, public speaking, debate, writing, literature at all levels.
