Plan Drawing (Top-Down View)
ECCO Thailand was established as joint venture in 1993, has completed its first distribution centre in Ayutthaya (5,376 Square metre) after increasing demand in the market. The
purpose of this DC is to store up to a million pairs of shoes at any one time.
Everyday ECCO Thailand receives order up to 8,000 pairs of shoes from Denmark. The
processes have run through the system and picking lists have been created by the warehouse management systems based on the destination to prevent any possible foul ups.
From the picking lists, items are pick at a rate of 22-25 pallets per hour by three VNA
Trucks. Afterwhich, barcodes attached to the pallets are scanned for tracking purposes,
before the items are then checked and stowed into containers for shipment. Each 40-ft
container holds maximum 7,000 pairs of shoes.
