The student completes the assignment and is rewarded the maximum number of points possible. Other assignments are handed in and evaluated by calculating total points, the number of correct answers out of the total possible points or evaluated using percentages. Students should be conscientious about turning in assignments on time, since points will be deducted from their score for late assignments. Approximately two weeks time is spent on a vocabulary unit with a test being the culminating activity. A variety of activities are done in class to help the students learn the vocabulary words, including a review game before the test, but students must study the words on their own as well. Reviews are done in class before some quizzes and before all major tests. Study guides will be given before all major tests. Students are told in advance when quizzes and tests will be given.
