This position will play a central role in the growth and success of Tyco Retail Solutions (TRS) by supporting the training function. The individual will be responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing courseware needed to train business partners, direct salespeople, technicians, general employees and end customers. He/she will develop materials for distance learning, webinar training and instructor led training aimed at providing education on TRS products, services and procedures. The individual will be a key member of the Tyco Retail Solutions Global Training team and will contribute to setting the future vision of the $ 1Billion organization by providing mission critical education for key stakeholders. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Identify and evaluate online and web based training needs and objectives of the organization and its customers. 2. Create web based, software, sales, technical and end customer online training materials by collaborating with engineering, marketing, product management and sales organizations. This will involve creating training plans, developing course structure and sourcing key product, service, market and positioning information. 3. Coordinate training video production efforts by working closely with the design team. 4. Support and expand Training team capabilities by researching industry best practices/innovations and applying to TRS training development activities. 5. Collaborate closely with instructional designers to create engaging, interactive and innovative web based/online learning experiences (or perform on their own) 7. Deliver online, webinar and in-person training to salespeople, technicians and business partners. Specific responsibilities include: Training Development · Work with Marketing, Sales and Engineering to determine training needs of respective organizations · Fielding training requests from the entire TRS organization · Develop training needs analysis documentation · Meeting with subject matter experts contacts to determine the needs of the training · Defining learning objectives for training materials · Develop high level project plans with key milestones and status reports · Creating robust and detailed training plans · Determining/creating the delivery methodology · Conducting audience learning analyses · Creating storyboards in conjunction with Subject matter experts and functional leaders · Create training content by working with SMEs and functional leads · Create task lists · Lead and manage the training plan cross-functional review process · Creating testing evaluation processes and techniques · Manage communication strategy to training customers Training Delivery · Deliver train-the-trainer sessions to a variety of audiences · Deliver instructor led training · Deliver webinar training sessions · Be primary point of contact for post training inquires for direct and indirect training population · Design and lead role playing training sessions Training Design · Web Based Training, Instructor Led Training, Webinar Training o Utilize instructional design and performance improvement processes to analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate instructional materials and programs o Use Lectora to build e-learning modules o Use photo shop to create, enhance and design high quality images o Create high quality instructional videos o Create voice overs for training o Create Captivate automated visuals o Synchronize voice overs and animations with training o Work with internal LMS team to test learning files for upload to the LMS o Lead and manage review process vitural and in-person o Pilot test training materials · Other o Create and enhance training communication tools such as job aides and the training catalog o Support other functional areas for video creation and document design Qualifications The ideal candidate would: Have 5+ years applicable experience in web based and online courseware development or significant exposure to TRS products Have experience working with online learning software and web based learning management systems such as Lectora and/or Adobe eLearning or significant exposure to TRS products Have an exceptional track record of planning, managing, and building web based online educational courses for the distance learner audience or significant exposure to TRS products Have experience or interest in delivering training (in person or webinar format) or significant exposure to TRS products Have Experience/exposure in the retail sector in professional capacity Have extensive experience in developing content and courseware for adult learners or significant exposure to TRS products Tyco is a diverse company that believes its employees are the foundation for investing in its future.
