Record of achievement in retail management
Experience of managing charity shops / retail outlets
Proven line management experience
Experience of recruiting and working with volunteers
Managing new initiatives
Logistics and stock management
Financial management inc. cash handling and managing budgets
Experience of working public speaking and networking
History of community engagement / development












Excellent interpersonal skills
Able to build relationships and communicate effectively with a wide
range of people
Highly organised, an effective planner and administrator
Proactive and ability to think innovatively
Proven ability to lead, motivate and support individuals & teams to
deliver results
Ambitious, self-motivated and target driven, and able to work on own
initiative
Detailed working knowledge of retail procedures and techniques (e.g.
stock control, presentation, pricing space, management)







Detailed understanding of Health & Safety, COSHH and other
relevant legislation and how to identify and minimise risks
Basic knowledge of Gift Aid

Sound cost control, budgeting skills and financial awareness

Ability to recognise stock potential for shop, e-retail or other sales
avenues and generate highest sales values for donated goods

Working knowledge of social media and auctions sites

Demonstrate an interest in & commitment to the mission and values of
the Sara Lee Trust
Computer Literate
A flexible approach to working life and working patterns
Honest, trustworthy and reliable
Good health attendance record and fitness to undertake duties of the
post
Car Driver with a clean driving licence and access to a vehicle for
